SUMMARY
Ladakh is one of most unexplored regions of the Tibetan Plateau, so what better way to see it than on a motorcycle? Begin your journey by taking a flight from Delhi to Leh and pick the quintessential Royal Enfield to ride. With your bike, we'll conquer some of the most rugged terrains in the world. You will cross world's
highest motor-able passes, camp at high altitude lakes and spend time in valleys which are 10,000 ft above sea level.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival into Leh
We'll pick you up at the airport and then take the day to relax acclimatize and process inner line permits. We'll have our own little tour of Leh and explore the Leh Market. Finally, we'll take time to introduce you to your bikes by the evening!
Day 2: Leh by Motorcycle
Today, we'll explore Leh with our bikes; including Leh palace, Shanti Stupa, the Hall of Fame Museum, Thikse, Stok Palace and Hemis Monastery. After riding up to Shey, we'll head back to Leh where we'll stay at a hotel overnight.
Day 3: Ride to Lamayuru and Moonland
Our first full riding day will include visits to Alchi, Likir, Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib and the sceenic Bazgo Plains. We'll return to our hotel by the evening for a well-deserved rest.
Day 4: The World's Highest Motor-able Pass
Ride on to the world's highest road as we cross the Khardungla Pass into the Nubra Valley. We'll stay here overnight on an organic farm. We advise that you only take very basic items on the bike and leave the heavier baggage back in the hotel.
Day 5: Explore the Nubra Valley
We'll begin on day by heading north to explore the Nubra Valley, the silk route and see the Hunder Sand Dunes. Some interesting sights will include double humped Bactrian camels and the unique Diskit Monastery. We'll take the famous Khardungla Pass as we head back to the hotel.
Day 6: Pangong Tso
We'll ride to Pangong Tso through some more very high altitude passes and beautiful landscapes. Pangong Lake has some of the most beautiful hues of blue that you'll see no where else. We'll spend the night by the lakeside camp, which is an experience of a lifetime to say the least.
Day 7: Tso Moriri
Yet another long day's ride to another very beautiful lake, the Tso Moriri - a breeding ground for the rare black-necked cranes. This lake is mesmerizing and yet another area in Ladakh not visited by many. We'll spend a night in the camp in order to make the most out of the scenery.
Day 8: Return to Leh
We'll return back to Leh via a different but very rugged route. We'll see yet another scenic lake (Tsokar) as we head back to our Leh hotel. This is unfortunately the last and final day of our rugged ride.
Day 9: Departure from Leh Airport
On of our representatives will bring you to the Leh Airport after we say our farewells.
